Random Acts of Kindness Challenge – Making the World a Kinder Place!
This time of year, Beavers traditionally take part in the Acts of Kindness challenge—and it’s an activity that can still be completed during Scouting at Home!
By practicing kindness daily, Beavers strengthen their promise to help take care of the world and live by the Beaver law of helping family and friends.
✔ To earn the Friendship Beaver Badge: Complete 7 Acts of Kindness—one each day over the next week.
✔ 2nd-year Beavers: Try 2 Acts of Kindness per day.
✔ 3rd-year Beavers: Challenge yourself to 3 Acts of Kindness per day!
If your Beaver already has the Friendship Beaver badge, this challenge can count toward the Community Beaver badge. If they already have both, it can go toward the Kindness Rocks challenge!
🌟 Kindness Activities to Choose From:
✔ Say hello and smile at an older person you don’t know.
✔ Tidy a room in your house—without being asked!
✔ Call or video chat with someone you haven’t spoken to in a long time—maybe a grandparent.
✔ Thank three people today—spread gratitude!
✔ Write chalk messages on the sidewalk to brighten someone's day.
✔ Leave a kind note for a family member on their pillow.
✔ Pick or make flowers and leave them on someone's doorstep.
✔ Take a bag and pick up five pieces of litter to help clean the environment.
✔ Make a list of things you’re grateful for and share it with a friend.
✔ Sit quietly for five minutes—practice mindfulness and calm.
✔ Tell someone why they are special to you.
✔ Sit in a quiet place for ten minutes and think about all the things you love about your life.
📢 Share Your Kindness!
Once you’ve completed the challenge, celebrate your kindness by sharing your experience:
✔ Tell Rusty what you completed to earn your badge!
✔ Post about your challenge to inspire other Beavers to join in.
Kindness is a powerful force, and small acts can make a big difference in making the world a brighter place!
